Murals

There was a call-for-artists to design and paint a mural in a newly-built "Meditation Garden" at a local park. I submitted a hand-painted design and, along with several other artists' submissions, my image was broadcast to the town to vote for the design. I was fortunate to be awarded the opportunity and spent the hot summer working on this beauty. This piece is truly a testament to the local ecosystem and people; the wonderous nature that supports and surrounds us all.

Thanks to the success of my first mural, I was selected to create this permanent installation in the Town Hall of Preston, MD. Each letter has an image representing a location quintessential to the area. It took many late nights spent in this building to get it done and I am extremely proud of how it turned out. Typically straight lines are not for me, especially at this scale, but I gladly rose to the challenge of my own design.

It was sheer willpower that brought this piece into existence. A new local restaurant was being built on a busy main street and I found myself compelled to paint SOMETHING on it! I reached out to the owner, scheduled a meeting and pitched my design. Together we came up with something eye-catching that really captures the spirit and style of the business. While working on this I was able to meet a lot of the local people who would regularly stop by to watch me paint and chat for awhile. I even made a wonderful new friend.
